This week at The Emery, please join us for a very special Cincinnati premiere of the film I Send You This Place. The directors, Andrea Sisson & Peter Ohs, met in Cincinnati and then spent 10 months in Iceland filming this documentary. Here is a longer description and the trailer.

Filmed in Iceland, Italy and America, ‘I Send You This Place’ straddles the line between narrative and documentary. It is infused with the way the mind perceives, constructing a message that transcends information and exposition. It extends into the FEELING of the content and the EXPERIENCE of the context.

The film is deeply personal and carries with it an important message. It is a battle to understand the world and how it treats people, more specifically, a journey to make sense of the way we deal with and treat Mental Illness. It’s about how perspectives and experiences can ultimately determine definitions, and how the most important thing in dealing with an issue is one’s perspective on that issue. A new design to dusty procedures – this film has a power to empower the individual, to brighten life, and to create positive progression in the world.
It is a cinematic documentary, meticulously designed, produced, directed, shot, edited and scored by Andrea Sisson & Peter Ohs of Lauren Edward.
